I was born in Ripon, Wisconsin in the depression era.
My mother was a descendant of Thomas Tibbals, who arrived in this country on the Truelove in 1635.
Travel: Every year from 1949 to 1971 I traveled with my Dad to the NFL National Speech Tournament, held each year in a different part of the country, and assisted with the tournament administration. By 1959 I had been in all forty-eight continental states, and in 1967 added Alaska. (I have yet to visit Hawaii.)
The most memorable years in my life were from 1963 to 1967 ... many wonderful memories from that time.
Education: Attended Ripon
public schools and graduated Valedictorian, Ripon High School, 1951.
