Personal History


        I was born in Ripon, Wisconsin in the depression era.

The most memorable years in my life were from 1963 to 1967 ... many wonderful memories from that time.


      

Education:  Attended Ripon public schools and graduated Valedictorian, Ripon High School, 1951.
                          Stanford University, B.S. 1955, major in physics.
                                Graduated "With High Honors" and elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
                          University of Wisconsin (Madison), M.S. 1956, Ph. D. 1959.
                                Post doctoral fellowship, 1959-1960.

        Teaching career:  1960-65   Assistant Professor of Physics, Tufts University, Medford, Massachusetts.
                                   1965-68   Associate Professor of Physics, Claremont Men's College, Claremont, California
                                   1968-82   Associate Professsor of Physics, Cornell College, Mt. Vernon, Iowa
                                   1982-96   Professor of Physics and Computer Science, Cornell College
                                   1996-2001   Professor of Physics, Cornell College
                                   2001- ??    Professor Emeritus
