I have been at Cornell College since January, 2000. Before arriving, I was associate professor of library and information science at The University of Iowa, where I taught courses in school librarianship, children's resources, information literacy, research methods, and multimedia. It has been fascinating for me to transfer what I learned during many years in the world of K-12 librarianship to the small college environment. At Cornell, we are striving to develop an information literacy program characterized by point-of-need instruction with emphasis on the process of research. We use Kuhlthau's Model of the Information Search Process as a guide. To learn more about me, see:VitaTo access handouts to aid in research, see:Research Aids for Cornell Students |
